Candy M. Veneracion
Managing Editor
Candy is a journalist by training. Shortly after obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, she went on to write for one of the country’s oldest and established national broadsheets – the Manila Bulletin. For more than seven years, she was assigned in the lifestyle beat and covered both local and international events on fashion, arts, culture, travel, food, health and home. She was part of the Philippine delegation to the 2008 Salon de la Plongee Sous Marine held in Paris, France, in which the Philippines was chosen as “Destination of the Year.”

Following her extensive career in the newspaper, Candy worked briefly with a stakeholder relations firm as a media relations officer. She was later hired by G-TELP Philippines as a senior researcher and junior editor where she worked closely with a group of editors and language consultants in creating a battery of objective tests known as General Tests of English Language Proficiency developed at the San Diego State University by the International Testing Services Center.

In 2009, she joined AVEN to lead and manage its Content Writing team. She is currently in charge of training the writers, supervising the overall production of the writing service as well as liaising with clients.

Among the many hats that she wears, Candy is most passionate about her role as a mother to three energetic boys. She also likes to cook and dabble in designing her own fashion accessories.

Juan Paolo P. Afunggol
IT Officer
Juan Paolo, or Jaypee, graduated from the Central Colleges of the Philippines with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.

In 2007, he was sent abroad to head a full-scale IT project despite his lack of adequate experience in the field. That proves just how good he is at what he does.

Today, he is in charge of keeping AVEN’s entire IT infrastructure – the cornerstone of any outsourcing firm – in top shape at all times.

Jaypee enjoys travelling and taking photos during his spare time.
